Ale at Amberley is this weekend at Amberley Museum. It’s right outside the station, so it’s easy to get to. There are also some bus services for the evening sessions.
This year CAMRA members get free entry from the new earlier time of 2pm on Sunday. This is the traditional drink up day when prices drop.
More details at Yapton Beerex 2014 details — this is just an entry to make the event appear in the calendar :)
NEW: a preview version of the programme is now available for download. This is the final version of the programme that you’ll receive at the festival.
The Crawley Beer & Cider Festival will be at Three Bridges Football Club from Fri May 30 to Sat June 1. This is three weeks later than last year and is the weekend after the bank holiday so hopefully the weather will be drier and warmer. Thanks to those who braved that freezing cold Friday evening last year!
The opening times will be: Fri May 30 17:00 – 22:30 (open to all this year) Sat May 31 11:00 – 17:00 and 17:00 – 22:30 (all one session this year, but split into two staff shifts) Sun June 1 11:00 – 15:00
The festival would be glad to welcome any help and assistance whether it be setting up, serving at the bar or front desk or taking down, either from yourselves or friends, and would welcome any suggestions as to how we can improve on last year, especially with regard to staffing.
The aim is to have tokens instead of cash and there may be some entertainment this year, such as morris dancers and/or a guitarist. Most beers will be from local micro breweries and ciders sourced from Middle Farm and will be available free to workers (so long as they can stand up!) The organisers will also look to improve the food (for both staff and drinkers) and may even introduce a BBQ for our hard working helpers.
Please let Nigel know on 07791 872289 if you may be able to kindly help again this year or know of anyone who might like to help. If not, hopefully they’ll see you on the other side of the bar!
Ticket prices: Friday & Saturday advance tickets £3; Sunday Advance £2. Tickets available from Swan, Crawley; Selden Arms, Worthing; Jolly Tanners, Staplefield; Beer Essentials, Horsham. Limited tickets on the gate £3.50 Fri & Sat; £2 Sunday.
