Lester Peart RIP

Lester Peart, one of the original founders of the branch and a former branch chairman, has died aged 88.

Lester had a fascinating life, and lived it to the full. His energy had motivated many of the local branch activities, including the Ardingly Steam Festival beer tent and, later, Yapton Beerex. He was a keen local pub historian and a well known local champion of CAMRA, becoming in many eyes the personification of CAMRA.

He will be greatly missed.
