Ballards Walk

Dec 2, 2018

Obviously, there’s no actual Ballards Brewery any more, with the beers now being brewed at Greyhound — but that hasn’t stopped ex-Ballards brewer Fran from keeping the walk going!

As the walk can’t start at the old brewery site, the plan is to start at the Three Moles, Selham, at 10:00, with the Scouts making bacon sandwiches and the Prize Old Mummers larking about as per. Other participating pubs should be the Foresters and the White Horse in Graffham, and the Unicorn in Heyshott. There are cross-country routes available for those who feel that the Walk isn’t complete without mud (and watching people fall over in it!)

There’s no word of an Old Bounder beer this year, but the Swan in Midhurst will be trying to get a cask of Harveys Christmas Ale in time for the event.

We’re not sure whether we’ll be organising a bus yet, but the Moles can be reached by catching a Stagecoach route 1 to the Halfway Bridge and walking down the road opposite for about 20 minutes.
