Branch Pub of the Year 2013: the Wilkes Head, Eastergate

The Wilkes Head, Eastergate — winner not only of last year’s branch award, but of the Surrey & Sussex regional award as well — has been voted Pub of the Year for 2013 by an even bigger majority than last year. Congratulations to Trevor and everyone else at the pub for doing the double!

The LocAle-accredited, two-bar Wilkes Head sells Adnams Bitter as its regular beer, with up to three guests. Food is available in a separate dining area, and there’s a large beer garden.

The date of the award presentation has yet to be confirmed; this post will be updated with details when we have them.

Stagecoach bus route 66 stops at the end of Church Road (get off near the petrol station/Elmtree Stores) or it’s about a 20 minute walk from Barnham station: turn left out of the station, then turn left into Church Road.
