Updates

We may update this information from time to time. With the exception of trivial changes such as spelling errors, we will post a notification in the Site News category when we do this.

Privacy

We do not collect any personally identifiable information about you through this website, except that which you choose to provide to us by posting comments. We collect anonymous statistics using CrazyEgg, which records your browser capabilities (for example, whether you are able to use Flash or Java), the pages you visit on the site, and how you came to this site (search engine, link from another site, and so on). These stats are shown in an aggregate form (for example, the number of visitors per day using Internet Explorer).

This information is used solely to improve the structure of the site, and to spot high demand before it becomes a problem. It will not be used for marketing, nor passed on to any third party. CrazyEgg do not retain your data or track you across multiple sites. Please see the CrazyEgg privacy policy for more details.

Information is provided on pubs and licensees where such information is freely available. If you believe information is incorrect, please contact us.

Cookies

If you log in as a registered user, cookies are used to store your authentication information. Our statistics package sets a cookie with a 10-year lifespan in order to detect return visits. This cookie contains a randomly-generated number and is not linked to any personal information you may provide. We promise that we will not make any attempt to do so.

To delete or refuse cookies, please see your browser’s documentation.

Please note that our maps are provided by Google Maps. Google may set cookies over which we have no control. Please see the Google privacy policy for more details of what is done with these cookies.

Third-party sites

Links to sites outside the westernsussexcamra.org.uk domain point to content over which we have no control, and which may have changed since we posted the link. We accept no responsibility or liability for the contents of such sites. If you feel a link is inappropriate, please contact us.

As stated above, our maps are provided by Google Maps. Changes beyond our control made by Google may cause maps to function differently (including displaying advertisements) or cease functioning altogether. Similarly, any inaccuracies in the map data are Google’s fault, not ours (however, if a marker for a pub is in the wrong position, that is our fault. Please let us know if this happens). In accordance with Google’s terms and conditions, this map data is not intended to be used to promote underage drinking, and you must therefore be 21 or over to use the maps (yes, I know the drinking age is 18 here, and I’ve pointed this out to them. One day, they may reply to my email…)
