Western Sussex CAMRA

Alan and Kate are leaving the Maypole, Yapton on Sunday November 4, after several award-winning years (including CAMRA Regional Pub of the Year 2004).

No official word yet on where they’re going, but hopefully they won’t be defecting to a neighbouring branch :)

If you like loud clattering noises, Alan will be pushing the charity 2p pile over on Friday night.

Social, starting Royal Oak, Hooksway at 8:45. Then probably on to Three Horseshoes, Elsted or Ship, South Harting (or both if time permits!)

Social, starting Ship, Itchenor at 8:30. Then on to Seal, Selsey. Please note earlier start, due to travel time between the two pubs.

Social, starting Fox, Felpham at 8:45. Then on to Alex, Bognor Regis.

Social, Jolly Drover, Hill Brow at 8:45. Then on to either Keeper’s Arms, Trotton or White Horse, Rogate.

Due to upgrades at the hosting company, the site will be down from 10:30pm on Wednesday 24 October for a minimum of six hours.

Upgrades are being done alphabetically by username — unfortunately, we’re at the tail end of the alphabet on that one :)

Everything should be running again by Thursday morning.

The Bull in Chichester has reopened after a refit, with up to three real ales on gravity (though apparently shorter barstaff may have difficulty reaching the taps :)

Not quite sure what beers are on at the moment, though our roving reporter wil probably have paid them a visit before too long.

The beer festival planned for Nov 2–4 at the Maypole, Yapton has been cancelled.
