Sorry, folks — the new diary entries aren’t showing in the calendar. I’ll have to look into this later.

Also not quite sure why the site randomly defaults back to the default template. This, apparently, is progress. (Edit: fixed the templates, anyway — by renaming our custom one as “default”!)

…and the diary entries are now working again.

Woohoo! The upgrade went (fractionally) smoother than expected, even if all the categories did get eaten and had to be rebuilt by hand!

You might have noticed the spiffy new theme, based on Psalm 8 by Joni. The header picture was from our last Bus Cruise, and taken outside the Royal Oak at Friday Street. It was less orange in real life, though…

Most of the site should be working as before — the subscribe buttons at the bottom right have gone, but I don’t think anybody ever actually used them :)

It’s the Great British Beer Festival next week — I’ll be up there, and hopefully will have time to post the Champion Beer of Britain winners on Tuesday.

Sometime this week, I’ll be taking the site down briefly to upgrade it to WordPress 2.6. Hopefully it shouldn’t be down too long :)

Update: looks like this is more work than I thought: the site’s theme breaks in the new software. So expect a spiffy new design as well…

The privacy policy has changed: we’re now using CrazyEgg for our visitor stats. Please see the CrazyEgg privacy policy for details on how it affects you (it shouldn’t, as they don’t store your data or track you across sites.)

Sorry about the breakage — it seems that going to Belgium causes this site to die…

Due to upgrades at the hosting company, the site will be down from 10:30pm on Wednesday 24 October for a minimum of six hours.

Upgrades are being done alphabetically by username — unfortunately, we’re at the tail end of the alphabet on that one :)

Everything should be running again by Thursday morning.

You’ll be noticing that some articles are appearing twice. This is due to them being in more than one category — apparently there’s a shiny new bug which means they get listed once per category. Hopefully I’ll be able to find a fix for this soon…

The photos from the May Trip are now up in gallery form. Hopefully at some point in the near future I’ll get around to writing an article explaining what we did :)
